Membership Benefits

Like any association, participation at events is paramount. The ability to learn from others including ABF accrediated instructors provide you with the best start possible.

NSWBUA appoints umpires to the Sydney Major League, Sydney Winter League and through our Junior Coordinator, to NSWBL Junior League Representative levels and the World Wide Little League competition.

These leagues provide active umpires with the ability to umpire at all levels of baseball within NSW.

Appointments to National Championships and International assignments are made from NSWBUA members. Recently Paul Hyham was appointed to umpire in the Finals of the 2009 World Baseball Classic - an outstanding achievement. Paul is one of our most active umpires and Instructors.

Monthly meetings are held to help reinforce rules and mechanics, and normally run for an hour on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.

Life membership is the highest honor the association has bestow upon a full member of the NSW Baseball Umpires Association Inc. Members who have provided extended service to the Association are nominated and voted to this level.  

Individual membership provides the opportunity for members to be appointed to Leagues for which we supply umpires, to receive discounts on course fees and be eligible for selection to higher level training and game appointments.

If you join a local umpire association that is affiliated with us, you will be added as a member enjoying all the privileges of an Individual member of NSWBUA. Please check with your local executive to see that your association is affiliated. You will receive a confirmation email when your membership is entered here and then you may login and register for any event as if you had Individual membership of NSWBUA.

Web Membership is a "free" category of membership of this site that allows you to register for any of the events (training seminars and monthly meetings) without payment except for those events which require payment. You may upgrade to an individual member at any time or join a local affiliated umpire association.

NSWBUA Constitution

As required by our Constitution, your Membership Application must be paid in full and then confirmed. We will contact you and arrange to meet and endorse your application at the next available Monthly meeting.
