As with all incorporated associations, there are certain procedures that are required to be followed in order to conduct an Annual General Meeting.

Notice of NSWBUA 2018 Annual General Meeting

Dear Member,
Notice is hereby given that the 96th Annual General Meeting of the New South Wales Baseball Umpires Association Incorporated will be held on Tuesday 17th July 2018, at the Greyhound Racing and Social Club, 140 Rookwood Rd, Yagoona, NSW commencing at 8.00 p.m.
On behalf of the Management Committee, I invite you to attend.
Agenda
- President’s welcome.
- Apologies.
- Reading and confirmation of minutes.
- Correspondence.
- Submission of Annual Report including any Special Resolution(s).
- Declaration of Honoraria.
- Election of Life Members.
- Election of Management Committee.
- Election of Delegate to NSW Baseball League Inc.
- Any other business that may be brought forward in accordance with the Rules of the Association, including the appointment of an Auditor.
Notice of motion for inclusion as special business (including Life Member nominations) must be received by 26th of June 2017 (17:00 AEST) – Now Closed.
Nominations for elected positions must be received in writing by the 10th July 2017 (17:00 AEST) .

2018 Annual General Meeting Special Resolutions:
- to amend Rule 24.1 of the constitution to include Member protection officer.
- to nominate life membership to 2 members.
Rule 24.1 currently reads
” The Management committee shall comprise of President, Vice President, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasure, two (2) other elected Members and State Director of Umpiring.”
Proposed New Rule 24.1 to read
” The Management committee shall comprise of President, Vice President, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasure, two (2) other elected Members. State Director of Umpiring and Member Protection Officer”.
My reason for the inclusion of Member Protection office follows on from Baseball Australia’s introduction of their policy developed to cover all participants in the sport of baseball, with guidance from the Australian Sports commission and providing a safe environment for which is free from harassment and abuse for all participants. To foster and promote respectful and positive behaviour and values, and it expects that is participants, officials, and spectators.
