NSWBUA Inc. Umpires Seminar 2016


This course is aimed at anyone interested in obtaining or retaining your Baseball Australia Umpire Level 1 Accreditation.

It's a Baseball Australia requiremnt that all accredited umpire must complete a reaccreditation course at minimum every 2 years.

All New Attendees  - Completion of The Australian Sports Commission Introductory to Officiating  When you complete this course, print your completion certificate and present it at the course when asked.

The topics covered in the course are set down in the ABF Framework for Development Course document delivered by ABF Accredited Umpire instructors under the direction of the State Director of Umpiring - Trent Thomas.

While the normal two umpire system mechanics are the basis of the course, we will spend a short time on single umpire system.

For those umpires wishing to register for level 2 please register 
and if there are sufficient numbers the groups will be split into L1 and L2

DATES: Friday night  8 July 7pm - 10pm
              Saturday 9 July 8.30am for 9am start until 4.30pm
             Sunday 10 July 8.30am foor 9am start until 4.30pm


$120 per non-NSWBUA Member or an inactive NSWBUA Member*
$50 for active NSWBUA Member (working State League and Women's League games). 

Sausage Sizzle provide for lunch

* an active member is one who has received umpire fees from the NSWBUA within the last two years. This means having done games in State League/Winter League/Women's League during the last 2 years.

Participants must have the physical ability to participate in a training program that requires frequent voice projection, stretching, bending, squatting, jogging, sprinting, and standing for periods of two hours or more and participate in a daily conditioning program of organized medium-impact aerobics designed to exercise and strengthen muscle groups most utilised by umpires.

We are attempting to overcome the problem of having to register twice if payment is not completed on the initial registration.

If you have  umpires uniform please wear it, otherwise bring suitable clothing and footwear to enable you to run, a rule book, writing material, sun screen and a water bottle. 

Also if you own plate gear and glove please bring them along.
