Community Umpiring - Orientation to Umpiring
(Previously known as Level O)
This course will introduce you to the responsibilities, skills and rules of baseball umpiring. Instruction will be by BA Instructors to the standards required by Baseball Australia, There is no assessment, however there will be some practical instruction during which participants will be introduced to umpiring techniques.
This course is the minimum level of training our umpires should have to officiate at our games. At completion of the course participants will be registered with the "Community Umpiring" accreditation.
This course is ideal for both players, coaches and parents, to gain a better understanding of the game.

Thursday 10th of September 2020.
06:15pm arrival & check-in for a 06:30pm start.
09:00pm is the approximate finish time.
COST:
General attendance attracts a cost of $25
REQUIREMENTS:
No special equipment required. Participants will be involved in some light physical activity. Please wear comfortable clothing which will allow for some running, bending etc.
REGISTRATION and PAYMENT:
All attendees must register individually.
Please ensure you register with a valid email address. Handouts for the course, that summarise the content, will be emailed to each participant at the completion of the course.

Pre - Seminar Requirements
Please complete the online Australian Sports Commission Officiating General Principles course. This is a mandatory component of the training.
