This course is aimed at anyone interested in obtaining or retaining your ABF Umpire Level 1 Accreditation or upgrading your skills as an umpire.

All Attendees - Completion of The Australian Sports Commission Introductory to Officiating. Please click on this link. When you complete this course, print your completion certificate and present it at the course when asked.

No Level "O" Certficate?. For those who have not attended a Level "O" Umpire course, you must attend the Friday Night Session. You will be denied your Level 1 Accreditation if you fail to attend.

The topics covered in the course are set down in the ABF Framework for Development Course document delivered by ABF Accredited Umpire instructors under the direction of the State Director of Umpiring - Trent Thomas.

While the normal two umpire system mechanics are the basis of the course, Tee Ball and Little League 60' diamond mechanics will be addressed where they vary from the standard.

Friday 7th September 2012 - 7:30 pm until 10:00pm 
Saturday 8th September 2012 - 8:30 am until 5:30 pm
Sunday 9th September 2012 - 8:30 am until 4:30 pm


$100 per non-NSWBUA Member or an inactive NSWBUA Member*
$25 per Active NSWBUA Member*.

* an active member is one who has received umpire fees from the NSWBUA within the last two years.

Participants must have the physical ability to participate in a training program that requires frequent voice projection, stretching, bending, squatting, jogging, sprinting, and standing for periods of two hours or more and participate in a daily conditioning program of organized medium-impact aerobics designed to exercise and strengthen muscle groups most utilised by umpires.

We are attempting to overcome the problem of having to register twice if payment is not completed on the initial registration.

If you have umpire gear and an umpire uniform please bring it, otherwise bring suitable clothing and footwear to enable you to run, a rule book, writing material, sun screen and a water bottle. 

Also bring a glove if you have one.
